How do you choose your Christmas table decorations for breakfast, lunch or dinner with your loved ones?  I can’t hide the fact that I really love decorating my table for Christmas breakfast and Lunch.  As a little girl, Christmas was a time of year that I loved,  I have so many precious memories of setting and decorating the the table with my Nana, decorating the Christmas tree with my Mum and then more recently decorating the tree, our home and the table with my own boys. I think it has become a tradition that I will treasure forever.  Spending time on my Christmas table decorations, Christmas eve taking time to decorating the table, selecting a colour scheme and making small little gift boxes or favours for each person is something that makes our family meals together at Christmas all the more special.  Sitting around the table chatting and looking at the beautiful decorations certainly makes me happy!

I’d like to share some of my ideas for Christmas table decorations with you and hope that you and your family and friends can enjoy the Christmas season and decorating as much as I do.

Packaging up your little gifts for Christmas

To create the Christmas table decorations above we used the Large Cube Box and wrapped with our Kraft banding with red dots, seal it with a Christmas seal and tie with twine.  Small Christmas decorations such as mini baubles, or bells or candy canes are great to decorate the top.  Inside the box we added some wrapped chocolates and lollies and a Golden casket scratch and win ticket (its fun to see who wins a prize) but you could put any little gifts inside you liked.

Christmas table place settings to impress!

The parcel wrapped up on the plate, has a number of purposes apart from just looking pretty.  It makes a great name tag or place holder, it keeps the serviette from moving or blowing away and thirdly we put a yummy gingerbread man inside!! (you could also put a Christmas card or another small gift or book inside)  We used our Small Paper bags, wrapped them in twine and stamped a tag with our alpha stamps with each persons name.  This is a good way of planning where everyone will sit at the table  ahead of time.  We used some Christmas decorating tape to seal the bag and complete our look.

I hope you will enjoy thinking about your Christmas table decorations this year and really impress your family and friends. The images above were our Christmas table decorations for breakfast last year, I will share our lunch table with you in a separate blog post.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your friends, family and loved ones this year.
